Postcard Civil War East
A Note on Copyright
Postcard Civil War East is COPYRIGHTED -- NOT Public Domain -- and FREE under the following conditions:
- ANYone is free to print off and distribute as many copies of my English language edition of Postcard Civil War East as (4"x6"/A6 and 5"x8"/A5) postcards as you like, as long as you keep my © 2021 Louis R. Coatney copyright statement, the Dedication, and my quotes about war and history on them.
(To publish the game in larger, boxed format with already mounted pieces would require a licensing contract signed by me.)
- All other rights -- including publishing rights -- are reserved to me.
Dedication - it's shorter on the postcard:
Postcard Civil War East is dedicated to Jefferson Coatney (NW IN, d.14Mar1862, ?) and son James Coatney (d.24Nov63, ?) and to our Americans who died in our worst war to end slavery, and to my children Rebecca, Robert, Rohan, and Johanna hoping they will never suffer war..
The more we learn about the American Civil War, the better our chances that it will be the LAST American civil war.
War must be confined to history books and games.
A Request: If you do assemble and play this free game of mine, PLEASE let me know at ELCOAT@hotmail.com what you think of it and whether, after more than a couple games, you think one side or the other has an advantage. Thanks!
And now: Here are Postcard Civil War East's components, to print off and assemble so that it may be played. Players-students will also need a coin to toss or die to roll for the (50%) chance moments in the game.
More comments by myself and others about the game can be read on Talk ConSimWorld and BoardGameGeek.
