As poorly as some of these computer reductions are showing, it might be better to print off some of the smaller ships from the 1:1200 or even 1:700 scale pages they're (also) on and then reduce them to 1:1800 -- 67% or 39% -- on a photocopier.
The tiny dots shading of some of the drawings seems to harmonize into camouflage-like wave patterns, when they are reduced.
